US activity taking off in Q1 2024
Haffner Energy featured at multiple top-tier energy innovation events
Since we took up residence at Greentown Labs in Houston last November, we have been working hard to grow our presence on the American market. We salute the efforts of our Senior Advisor in Houston, Nathalie Ionesco, who has been spearheading our representation efforts on this promising new market.
In the first quarter of this calendar year 2024, we are proud to share that we were featured at several top-tier energy and/or innovation events. We presented our technology at the MIT Energy Conference in Cambridge, MA, the Advance Bio-economy Leadership Conference in Washington, DC, the International Biomass Conference in Atlanta, GA, and the CERAWeek in Houston, TX. All great opportunities to engage with leading players in the climate industry, as energy decarbonization is being boosted by the federal funding program of new projects under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).

We have been exceptionally well received here in the U.S. as our technology stirs a lot of interest in this biomass-rich country. In particular, we are looking forward to promising prospects in Texas and California on the SAF and hydrogen fronts.
We already announced last month that we signed an MOU with Washington State-based company Hexas Biomass, Inc. with a view to developing joint projects on marginal lands where biomass residues for energy production are not readily available.
New developments will be announced in due time. Meanwhile, we’re excited to be short-listed as a finalist for Reuters Events Energy Transition’s Global Energy Transition Awards – Projects of Impact category, Low-Carbon Energy Generation section. Laureates will be announced on June 25th, 2024 at a ceremony in New York.
